JC Lewis Mazda Dealership
Savannah, GA
As part of a strategic initiative to modernize its facilities and strengthen its presence in Savannah’s automotive corridor, J.C. Lewis Ford engaged Hussey Gay Bell to lead the transformation of its former Lincoln dealership into a state-of-the-art Mazda showroom.
The project included comprehensive design and engineering services along with bidding assistance and construction administration. The scope centered on a full renovation of the 2,300-square-foot showroom to meet Mazda’s national branding standards, featuring updated spatial layouts, modern finishes, and a refreshed design aesthetic. A 600-square-foot glass “jewel box” was added to the front of the building to prominently showcase new models via an elevated display lift. To create a cohesive visual identity, the building’s exterior skin and façade were removed and rebuilt in alignment with Mazda’s current branding. A secondary structure adjacent to the main showroom was demolished to improve site circulation and enhance the customer experience, while the existing parts and service area remained fully operational. This project reflects J.C. Lewis Ford’s continued investment in high-quality customer environments and Hussey Gay Bell’s expertise in delivering complex renovations that merge brand vision with functional design.
