Floyd Adams Jr. City Services Complex
Savannah, GA
Hussey Gay Bell served as architect and engineer of record for the Floyd Adams Jr. City Services Complex in Savannah, GA, a 56-acre municipal campus designed to consolidate city departments and streamline public service delivery. The development spans approximately 25 acres and features a 67,000 SF administration building, 23,000 SF operations building, 14,000 SF street sweeper facility, and a renovated 20,000 SF warehouse, supported by fueling stations, storage yards, and other support facilities. The campus is linked by a 5.5-acre paved yard, access roads, and parking areas, with deep pile foundations and fire sprinkler systems ensuring safety and durability. Infrastructure upgrades included more than 10,000 LF of new utility mains, a sanitary sewer lift station, drainage improvements, and roadway enhancements with turn lanes along W. Gwinnett Street. By consolidating municipal services in one location, the project improved efficiency, reduced operating costs, and created space for future growth—making it a landmark investment in Savannah’s municipal infrastructure and public service capabilities.
