Hussey Gay Bell desires to have well rounded professionals. It is our desire that Surveyors know and learn all components of Survey; drafting, topographic, boundary, subdivisions, research, title reviews, and interaction with clients and government entities. Surveyors are not dedicated to sole, individual responsibilities, but to projects as a whole. You will work closely with the design team and the field teams to make sure that projects are completed with quality on time. Daily tasks will consist of multiple survey related items on multiple projects. It will also include budget proposals and coordination with other Hussey Gay Bell team members. Continuous coordination with (all or part) design team, contractor, field crews, and other stakeholders is required. Maintenance of schedules, budgets, and priorities is required at all times ensuring that quality and efficiency goals are met.
Core Position Responsibilities:
- Manage the survey team crews.
- Maintain up to date equipment inventory.
- Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Acts as advisor to the engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
- Performs a variety of complex tasks relating to Boundary and Topographic Surveying and Mapping.
- Perform minor and major subdivision plats including all calculation checks and submittals to AHJ.
- Perform ALTA surveys for purchasers, sellers, and attorneys.
Minimum Requirements:
- Land Surveyor's License – PLS/RPLS.
- Demonstrated expertise in boundary and topographical surveying.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D).
- Ability to work collaboratively in an office environment.
- Proficiency with Trimble GPS and Robotic survey equipment.
- Advanced leadership skills as either a technical leader and/or project manager of complex projects.
- Experience working with a team of engineers.
- Effective planning, scheduling and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude and desire to learn.
- Experience with Microstation Open Roads.
