In 2022, Hyundai Motor Group announced the largest economic development project to ever land in the State of Georgia with an estimated $5.5 billion investment. The 3,000+ acre site is slated to house Hyundai Motor Group’s first US EV-dedicated mass production plant and is expected to deliver over 8,100 new jobs to the coastal region. Hussey Gay Bell’s architecture, engineering and surveying disciplines are involved with the design of numerous on-site Tier 1 supplier projects for Hyundai GLOVIS and Hyundai MOBIS in addition to multiple off-site Tier 1 supplier projects for Seoyon E-Hwa, Hwashin, Daechang Seat Corp., Seohan Auto Georgia, Sewon America and PHA. All projects are being designed/constructed in tandem with the OEM smart factory which is expected to begin commercial production in the first half of 2025.
