Boys & Girls Club of Lanier Positive Place
Gainesville, GA
Hussey Gay Bell served as the lead architect and engineer for the new Positive Place Boys & Girls Club and Teen Center in Gainesville, GA. Designed to expand the organization’s reach within the Hall County community, the two-story, 26,650-square-foot facility significantly enhances program capacity and youth engagement. The building was thoughtfully planned to serve up to 250 additional youth, with dedicated spaces for high school teens (ages 14–18) to explore educational and career development opportunities. The design includes a full basketball gymnasium, STEM lab, arts center, game room, culinary arts teaching space, workforce development area, and flexible classrooms—creating a dynamic environment for learning, creativity, and mentorship.
In addition to full architectural and engineering design services, Hussey Gay Bell supported site planning and coordination for this design-bid-build project, constructed by Hogan Construction Group. The facility not only meets the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier’s growing programmatic needs but also serves as a vital community resource promoting academic enrichment, personal growth, and future readiness.
