G. Holmes Bell IV, PE, serves as CEO and Chairman of Hussey Gay Bell, an ENR Top 500 and Top Southeast Design Firm founded in Savannah, Georgia, in 1958. A native Savannahian, Mr. Bell joined the firm in 1994 and has since led its expansion to eight offices across Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee, overseeing a team of 175 engineers and architects. Under his leadership, the firm continues to serve a diverse portfolio of governmental and private clients throughout the Southeast, including its involvement in Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America’s (HMGMA) manufacturing facility and its joint venture with LG Energy Solution (LGES) on a battery facility, a $7.59 billion investment in Bryan County, Georgia, expected to generate 8,500 new jobs. A licensed professional civil engineer in Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky, and Tennessee, Mr. Bell holds a Bachelor of Arts from Hampden-Sydney College and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Mercer University’s School of Engineering. He is a graduate of Leadership Savannah and Leadership Georgia and serves on the boards of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Savannah Chamber of Commerce, Bethesda Academy, and Savannah Area Geographic Information System (SAGIS). Mr. Bell also serves as an elected city council member for the historic Town of Vernonburg, Georgia. In recognition of his leadership, he was named one of Georgia Trend’s 100 Most Influential Georgians in 2023 and 2024.

Mr. Chance joined the firm in 2005 and currently serves as COO of Georgia Operations while based in the firm’s Savannah headquarters. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Georgia Southern University and is a registered interior designer. She is actively engaged with the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and was recognized as a Georgia Southern University 40 Under 40 honoree in 2023.
