Great Oaks Bank
Richmond Hill, GA
Hussey Gay Bell served as the lead architect and engineer for the design and delivery of Great Oaks Bank’s Richmond Hill branch, located within Plantation Village along Highway 144 in the Ford Overlay District.
This two-story, 6,500-square-foot facility was thoughtfully designed to balance modern banking functionality with the traditional architectural character of the surrounding community. The building includes private offices, conference rooms, drive-thru teller lanes, and both a safe deposit box vault and a small cash vault—offering a full range of services within a classically inspired footprint. Hussey Gay Bell provided comprehensive architectural and engineering services, including permitting, bidding assistance, and construction-phase support. The wood-framed structure was designed without a fire sprinkler system and was carefully planned to meet the aesthetic and regulatory requirements of the overlay district, reinforcing the area’s historic charm while supporting the client’s operational needs. Delivered via design-bid-build, the project represents a strategic expansion of Great Oaks Bank’s presence in Bryan County and reflects the institution’s continued investment in community-oriented growth.
