Civil Engineering/Site Development

The socio and economic impacts of civil engineering and site development throughout the southeast region can be traced from the cranes high above the skyline in Nashville, Tennessee down through the burgeoning heart of Columbia, South Carolina to the explosion of growth in Charleston just down the I-26 corridor then onto the once-sleepy Savannah, Georgia just down the coast and culminating full circle with a trip back up north to the great metropolis of Atlanta.  And we’ve had a part in it.  Hussey Gay Bell was originally founded as a civil engineering firm more than 60 years ago in Slow-vannah – a token name which has no place today.  Today the southeast is alive and rampant with growth through smart leadership at the state levels and economic development bodies.  Our civil engineers have been busy working with these entities and their clients to create single and multi-family communities, industrial parks and mixed-use developments that sprawl the region ranging from the infamous 2,000 acre Palmetto Dunes Resort on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and the Marketfair Mall redevelopment in Fayetteville, North Carolina to the 2,500 acre planned unit development of Savannah Quarters and 5,000 acre Raydient Places+Properties tract infrastructure development along I-95 in Pooler and Richmond Hill, Georgia.

Civil engineering and site development is about foresight.  It’s about acknowledging the future through design that accommodates for the current needs but plans and provisions for the future growth of an area. We’re here to help manage and enhance that growth through smart design.
