Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Gainesville, GA

Sheriff’s Office Makes Impact for Generations to Come

Hussey Gay Bell served as the Architect of Record for this project, which consisted of the design and construction of a new administrative headquarters building constructed on the 33-acre Government Center campus on Browns Bridge Road in Gainesville, Georgia. Approximately $5 million was budgeted out of SPLOST VI monies to fund the new 50,000 SF, three-story building which replaces the existing headquarters — a building plagued with broken heating and air systems, as well as the need to turn closets into offices — located in downtown Gainesville, the site of the old county jail.

The lower level features a Roll Call/Training Room, Crime Lab, Evidence Processing and Storage Area, Exercise Room with Showers, Traffic Offices, Investigator Offices and Administrative Offices while the Main Level features the Sheriff’s Administrative Area, Community Service Clerk, Records Storage Room, Investigator Offices, Conference Rooms, Interview Rooms, Polygraph Rooms and various support and administrative offices.

The project was constructed by Cleveland, Georgia-based, Charles Black Construction Company, Inc.
