Water & Sewer Master Planning for a Municipality

Garden City was one of Hussey Gay Bell’s first clients, beginning in 1958. Since that time, Hussey Gay Bell has continued to provide services as one of their long-term engineering consultants. Hussey Gay Bell has handled their infrastructure master planning and design including wastewater treatment, sewage collection, and water distribution, as well as streets and traffic control system improvements. Our work has included advising on development ordinance revisions, securing funding for City projects, and providing architectural and site design services. We are also the City’s plan reviewer, assuring conformance to code requirements by land developers. On all of these projects, Hussey Gay Bell has coordinated our efforts with those of the City’s elected and appointed leadership. Specific scope of work on this project consisted of the development of a Water and Sewer Master Plan for areas included in the 1998 annexation by Garden City of areas north and south of l-16. At the time of the study, the estimated average daily water demand for the study area was 1,072,000 gpd and the estimated average daily sewage flow for the study area was 894,000 gpd. Hussey Gay Bell also provided an amendment to the master plan in 2003.
