Pickens Achieves Professional Engineer Status
Atlanta, GA – Hussey Gay Bell is pleased to announce that Mr. John Pickens, PE, RLA has achieved Professional Engineer licensure status.
Mr. Pickens joined the Atlanta office as a Senior Civil Designer last June. He joined the firm with over twenty (20) years of experience in site development and heavy construction. Mr. Pickens has been involved in the design, permitting, and construction administration of over 90 successful projects in the Atlanta area with construction budgets ranging from $20,000 – $20,000,000. He is highly skilled and trained in all aspects of site development from preliminary design to final site closeout and Certificate of Occupancy. Mr. Pickens will continue to be responsible for managing the Atlanta-based site development group, as well as overseeing the design and development of construction documents for educational, institutional, commercial and industrial projects, as well as client development and interaction. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design from the University of Georgia. Mr. Pickens is a registered Professional Engineer and Professional Landscape Architect in Georgia.
