Like many young architects, I moved around early in my career to get ahead and broaden my experience. Then, in 1986, I found my home at Hussey Gay Bell. At a large, multi-disciplined firm, I was able to grow and thrive with a variety of projects and work hand-in-hand with engineers. As a family-owned business, it avoids the bureaucracy of most large firms and allows compassion and flexibility when needed. It really is a family. The age and experience is obvious here because of that it gives new employees and interns exposure to decades of experience to learn from and be mentored by.
