I retired after thirty years as a Manager of a local Head Start/Pre-K Pre-school. I started looking for a new career in a different line of work and found Hayes James & Associates, a local Engineering and Land Surveying company in Blue Ridge, Georgia. They hired me in 2013 and I have loved every minute of my employment. They have a family environment, working closely with clients to provide quality services, Hayes James also encourages community involvement and giving back to our local community. These are all things close to my heart. I love meeting new people and researching land history, while getting involved with my community to better the world around us.

In May 2022, Hussey Gay Bell acquired Hayes James. I was worried that all the things that I loved would be changed but it has not been the case at all. I have found that Hussey Gay Bell has the same values that Hayes James was founded on. They have wonderful leadership and foster a teamwork approach, while also being community minded. They utilize every employee’s skillset to the fullest, encouraging employees to do what they love and are good at within the parameters of their job responsibilities.

I look forward to working for this company for many more years to come. I cannot wait to see what heights can be reached with this wonderful company, my new home and family, Hussey Gay Bell.
