Progress on Infrastructure Effingham County
Effingham County, Georgia – Principal Civil Engineer, Steve Wohlfeil, PE, of Hussey Gay Bell, is working closely with both Moon River Studios, Inc. and the Effingham County IDA board to develop a water line and entrance road at the Moon River site — 1,600 acres owned by the IDA at Old River Road and Interstate 95. Survey work is also being done on the studio site and is anticipated to reach completion in June. Additionally, engineers are working with Georgia Power to find the best way to provide power to the site. The development plan calls for the first stages and warehouses to be operational by the end of this year.
