As our Southeastern region grows, so does the demand for safe and rapid transportation. The way we move throughout our region is changing – sometimes too quickly for us to adjust in a timely fashion.  So grows the demand for planners and engineers that can think ahead, design ahead, deliver ahead.  They’re charged with thinking ahead of the growth, one trend at a time.  Innovation modes are emerging from commercial vehicle lanes to autonomous vehicles, electric cars and post-Panamax ships and as a result our behaviors are changing. The emergence of new, better and faster ways to move are driving the way we design and think about design.  How can we move quicker, faster, more safely about and through our region?  We can start with innovative designs – designs that allow humans and goods to move quicker, faster, safer, better across roads, bridges, rail and water – whether it be by foot or by ships, planes, trains and automobiles, our engineers are thinking about you, your safety and your wellbeing.

Speaking of goods, as one of the oldest engineering/architecture firms in the region, Hussey Gay Bell has played a major role in the planning, design and permitting of projects for numerous ports, terminals and support facilities throughout the southeast and has the capability to support port and maritime projects of various magnitudes – from three berth container terminals to nine berth container terminals – supported by its more than 125 professionals strategically located in 6 locations with two port city offices in Savannah and Charleston.
