    Hussey Gay Bell’s Savannah structural department has an immediate opening for a Structural Engineer with a minimum of four (4) years of demonstrated experience in structural design utilizing AutoCAD, RAM, Revit and/or other software.  Candidate must be a committed team player and will be part of a design team geared towards architectural, civil, municipal and industrial projects.  Experience with steel design required and experience with design of concrete, masonry and wood is preferred.

    Candidate shall, at a minimum, possess:

    • BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
    • Effective planning, scheduling and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Registered Professional Engineer in Georgia preferred.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD.  Experience in Revit software is highly preferred.

    Savannah-headquartered design firm, Hussey Gay Bell, is seeking a Structural Engineering Department Head to lead our Savannah, Georgia structural engineering department with opportunity to oversee projects throughout our three-state, six office region.

Candidate shall have experience managing teams of structural engineers and designers responsible for designing single- and multi-story structural steel, cast-in-place concrete, masonry, and timber buildings.

    Job Requirements:

    • 10+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer in a consulting environment
    • Bachelor of Science Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program
    • Status of Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Georgia
    • Proficient in Revit AutoCAD RAM Structural System and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience in Risa 2D, Risa 3D, SAP 2000

    Additional Desired Qualifications:

    • S.E. preferred but not required
    • 10+ years of experience in the structural analysis and design of marine structural projects preferred but not required
    • Experience in ETABS, is preferred but not required

    Responsibilities will primarily include but are not limited to the following:

    • Performing structural analysis and engaging in the design of marine and/or transportation structures for both new construction and rehabilitation
    • Preparing technical/design reports and calculations packages
    • Preparing construction drawings and specifications
    • Attending design meetings and site inspections with our clients, subconsultants, and partners on an as- needed basis
    • Interacting and collaborating with our in-house drafters and other engineers
    • Designing various structures and producing contract documents for various building types, retaining walls, foundations, and wastewater treatment plants

    Position Summary: Hussey Gay Bell is seeking a Marketing Coordinator for its Savannah office who will be directly responsible for hands on production of proposals and presentation materials. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, self-motivated and collaborative person with 3+ years of experience, preferably in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry and a degree in marketing, liberal arts, journalism, communications or related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud programs is critical. The Marketing Coordinator will report to the Director of Marketing & Business Development for the firm and work closely with technical staff throughout the firm’s six regional office locations.

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for full spectrum of RFQ/P response development from coordination to completion.
    • Work closely with Director of Marketing & BD and technical staff to determine strategies on proposals and presentations; be hands-on in planning and development of strategic customized responses to RFQ/Ps and in the interview preparation.
    • Develop/maintain various written marketing collateral including project sheets, resumes, award submittals, market sector brochures, and other collateral as required.
    • Assist with public relations efforts including advertisements, direct mail campaigns/announcements, internal/external communication pieces, project award submissions and special events.
    • Assist in deployment of new creative campaigns for industry and client-specific targets.
    • Assist with creation and maintenance of digital platforms i.e. website and social media i.e. LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook as required.
    • Participate in professional and community organizations to promote firm visibility and recognition.

     

    Position Requirements: The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, liberal arts, journalism, communications or related field with 3+ years of related experience. Experience within the A/E/C industry, ability to create custom content and a proven track record in managing proposal efforts are major pluses.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud required. Familiarity with Illustrator or other tech apps a plus.
    • Candidate must be able to write custom content. Strong writing, proofing, editing skills, attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines are musts.
    • Ability to trouble shoot and adjust accordingly, sometimes with limited supervision, to meet deadlines – demonstrated leadership and judgment skills.
    • Ability to work and communicate effectively with proposal team members, principals and external teaming partners in southeast region.
    • Ability to assist with development of internal processes to streamline production efficiencies a plus.
    • Ability to balance workload, prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as a team member.
    • Demonstrated will to win and positive attitude.

     

    This is a full-time, 100% in-office position. Some overtime and regional travel consistent with position.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud programs is critical. The Senior Marketing Coordinator will report to the Director of Marketing & Business Development for the firm and work closely with technical staff throughout the firm’s six regional office locations. This position is open to candidates who have the ability to work in office in any of our locations in Georgia and South Carolina including Savannah, Atlanta, Charleston and Columbia.

    Position Requirements: The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, liberal arts, journalism, communications or related field with 5-8 years of AEC-specific industry experience.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, PR or related field.
    • 5-8 years of experience working for an A/E/C firm
    • Extensive and demonstrated technical and non-technical writing competency is a must; three samples of personally written copy required with application.
