    Hussey Gay Bell’s Savannah structural department has an immediate opening for a Structural Engineer with a minimum of four (4) years of demonstrated experience in structural design utilizing AutoCAD, RAM, Revit and/or other software.  Candidate must be a committed team player and will be part of a design team geared towards architectural, civil, municipal and industrial projects.  Experience with steel design required and experience with design of concrete, masonry and wood is preferred.

    Candidate shall, at a minimum, possess:

    • BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
    • Effective planning, scheduling and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Registered Professional Engineer in Georgia preferred.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD.  Experience in Revit software is highly preferred.

Candidate shall have experience managing teams of structural engineers and designers responsible for designing single- and multi-story structural steel, cast-in-place concrete, masonry, and timber buildings.

    Job Requirements:

    • 10+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer in a consulting environment
    • Bachelor of Science Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program
    • Status of Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Georgia
    • Proficient in Revit AutoCAD RAM Structural System and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience in Risa 2D, Risa 3D, SAP 2000

    Additional Desired Qualifications:

    • S.E. preferred but not required
    • 10+ years of experience in the structural analysis and design of marine structural projects preferred but not required
    • Experience in ETABS, is preferred but not required

    Responsibilities will primarily include but are not limited to the following:

    • Performing structural analysis and engaging in the design of marine and/or transportation structures for both new construction and rehabilitation
    • Preparing technical/design reports and calculations packages
    • Preparing construction drawings and specifications
    • Attending design meetings and site inspections with our clients, subconsultants, and partners on an as- needed basis
    • Interacting and collaborating with our in-house drafters and other engineers
    • Designing various structures and producing contract documents for various building types, retaining walls, foundations, and wastewater treatment plants

    Savannah-based Engineering and Architectural firm is seeking an Accounts Payable person/Accounting Administrative Assistant to handle daily, monthly and annual accounting and administrative tasks. Past experience in a design firm is preferable but not required.

    Duties may include:

    • Recording and reconciling vendor invoices for multiple companies.
    • Determining when vendors need to be paid based on a paid when paid job cost system.
    • Writing all payable checks and sending to correct vendors, including hand checks for miscellaneous items.
    • Preparing daily deposit slips for incoming cash payments.
    • Administering Company benefits including employee insurance programs.
    • Manage company credit cards and fuel cards.
    • Assist in managing company vehicles, inventory – record maintenance, tax administration.
    • Assisting with invoicing and general business administration.
    • Proficiency in Word and Excel is required.
    • Familiarity with software packages related to the design industry or job cost industry preferred.
