Hussey Gay Bell Partners with Gobeil

Savannah/Atlanta, GA – Hussey Gay Bell is pleased to announce that it is partnering with Mr. Bart Gobeil and his firm, Platform Strategies, to manage the firm’s Government Relations program and efforts.

Mr. Gobeil’s legacy of leadership and service spans over 20 years. Mr. Gobeil previously served as the Senior Director of Economic Development and State Government Affairs at the Georgia Ports Authority responsible for developing and implementing regulatory, legislative and administrative strategies to support the customers, investors, and community partners of the country’s 4th busiest port. During his tenure at GPA, he worked to negotiate and secure investments from national and international retail and logistic providers. From 2011 through 2015, Gobeil served as the Chief Operating Officer for the State of Georgia, where he directed more than 60 agencies and authorities of the State. Additionally, Mr. Gobeil previously served in leadership capacities at AGL Resources, as well as the Georgia Conservancy.

Mr. Gobeil holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Past and present community and industry commitments include Leadership Georgia, the Georgia Lottery Corporation Board, the Savannah Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee, and the UGA Board of Visitors – Emeritus. He also has given time to the Atlanta Area Ronald MacDonald Houses. He and his wife, the Hon. Elizabeth Gobeil, live in Savannah and enjoy spending time on Georgia’s coastal waterways and in the outdoors.
