Our Culture
At Hussey Gay Bell, we are constantly thinking about what keeps our clients up at night and how we can better their bottom line or enhance their mission through innovative design. Our energetic and forward-thinking team blends the wisdom of seasoned experience with young creative minds which allows us to deliver solutions that solve real problems for our clients. Whether it’s wastewater treatment, better, faster, transportation, improved public safety or education, we exist to deliver creative design solutions to our clients.
And after 60 years in business, we have found that the benefits of a satisfied client are three-fold – referrals, repeat business and a robust community. Some of our very first clients back in the 1950s and 60s are still with us – to us, that speaks volumes about earning trust and hiring the right people. Many of our employees have been with us for over 20 years and we believe that says something about us and our people – at Hussey Gay Bell, you’re family.
In addition to delivering successful projects to our client base, Hussey Gay Bell is passionate about being involved in the communities in which we operate. Hussey Gay Bell’s employees are involved in over 100 community-centered organizations ranging from Urban Hope, United Way, Kiwanis Club and Second Harvest to Engineers Without Borders. Each year our firm commits thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours of volunteer support to the communities in which we live, work and play.
For 60 years we've been serving our community.
“I have been with Hussey Gay Bell for 20 years and it has been the best experience of my life. I love the people I work with and the Company is so good to all the employees. When you reach retirement age they don’t push you out the door, but encourage you to stay with them for as long as you want to be here. You couldn’t find a better place to work. I love my job.”
“Hussey Gay Bell has a productive family atmosphere conducive to learning. The potential growth of an employee is unlimited. Hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed and is rewarded greatly.”
“Hussey Gay Bell has been a great place to work. I have worked here since I graduated from college and was immediately accepted into the Hussey Gay Bell family. Hussey Gay Bell has taught me not only to work hard at providing excellent service to our clients but also to realize that we are a part of our community and that we can help to make it better.”
