Construction Begins on the Neighborhood Resource Center

Savannah, GA – Local and community officials turned dirt to start construction on the City of Savannah’s new Pennsylvania Avenue Neighborhood Resource Center. In 2015, the design/build team of Hussey Gay Bell/JE Dunn Construction was selected to plan, design and construct the new facility located on approximately 1.07 acres west of Pennsylvania Avenue, between Clemson Street and Elgin Street. Once complete, the 22,000 SF Neighborhood Resource Center will provide access and invaluable resources to the community such as personal development, employment training, and micro-business opportunities. Funding for the estimated $6.7 million project was provided for by SPLOST funds and is anticipated to reach completion in 2019.
